Good afternoon, Synapse Circuit Readers! Do you love animation? I know I do! I am a HUGE fan of the Simpson’s, Futurama, South Park, Wallace and Grommit and so on... I have always wanted to have a go, but I think my animation ideas have gone past their sell by date... But maybe it’s not too late for YOU! Check this out..

Zu Logic is running a competition throughout the summer term to give you a chance to win a site licence of Zu3D Studio3 for your school or a school of your choice. The winner will also win their very own Zu3D Animation Kit to use at home. Why not get the whole class to work together?!
To enter the competition all you have to do is make a short animated advert about your school. Tell Zu Logic what you think is great about your school in a fun, imaginative film that is no longer than 60 seconds.

You don’t need to have Zu3D already; you can download a free month’s trial by going to this link: Free Trial
If you are a school interested in a network trial of Zu3D please get in touch with Zu Logic here: Network Trial

Apart from Zu3D, all you need is a webcam and something to animate – plasticine, lego, magazine cut outs etc.

The film doesn’t need to be a masterpiece; judges will be looking for good ideas and thoughtful animation. There is no lower or upper age limit, but your age will be taken into account by the judges. Films should be no longer than 60 seconds.

The winning film will be selected by an external panel of judges at the end of July. The winner will receive a site licence for their school (or a school of their choice) and an animation kit for themselves.
When you have finished your film please click here to fill in the entry form and upload your film.

You can also upload your film to our Zu3D gallery. Why not have a look before you start to get some ideas.

The closing date for entries is 28th July 2013.

Happy Animating!

The Zu3D Team & Synapse Circuit

P.S. They (Zu Logic) and I can’t wait to see your films!!!
