SAMSUNG TALK 9:
AD INFINITUM

Goodhour, Synapse Circuit Readers. How are you? I hope that all is well in your world and that you are making the most of your tech! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my articles and for your kind comments! Much appreciated!

I guess you have worked out that with “Ad infinitum” I am referring to the latest Samsung ads aimed squarely at the other guys! Wink, wink...

NO FAIR?

THE BIASED TECH-MEDIA RUMBLED!
As you know, I have exposed the Apple biased tech-media from way back and how they capture the feeble minded public’s lack of imagination and an unwillingness to think for themselves. Now the Apple biased tech media are crying, “No fair!” and “Bad taste” with regards to Samsung’s tweets regarding Apple’s misfire of which some of the missiles (the AppleWatch range) will make an impact come 2015 and the latest humorous anti-Apple ads. Have you seen them? I think they are funny and to be taken with a pinch of salt in terms of being "spiteful"! “Bad taste”? Not because of the pinch of salt but because it is said that the belated marketing genius should be left to "rest in peace". Let me tell you something right now! As much as I hated Jobs’ disdain and a complete lack of good sportsmanship towards the competition I thought he demonstrated great passion and a dedicated vision – albeit flawed – with regards to the rebranding of Apple and its position as a leading technological pioneer (although not accurate). However, the man aimed his coffin at the competition in his death! It’s okay for the iPhone based media to disturb him with praise towards these cannibalizing products that he was vehemently opposed to:-

A tablet smaller than 10”; Jobs had a good laugh at the Google Nexus 7 and Cook sanctioned the 7.9 iPad mini.

A larger iPhone; such was the power of Jobs’ vision and charisma that he convinced the iPhone user that 3.5” was ideal. Seriously???? Is it any wonder that this caused iPhone users to HATE on us Android users without really understanding why???? These hardcore iDiots talk “premium” to defend the stupid screen size but the components certainly aren't. The biased tech-media clearly demonstrated that they think that iPhone users are iDiots to suggest that the size of my hands is the same as every iPhone user on the planet. But all of a sudden – thanks to Samsung’s ads (and a bit of commonsense) – the much hyped keynote that happened on the 9/9/14 was centred on two larger iPhone models. Technological innovation??? I think not! iThinkNot...

Again, if the sentiment is that Jobs should rest in peace then they – both Apple and the biased tech-media are certainly picking their moments and not moments tinged with wisdom. It’s okay though to refer to Jobs’ hatred of Android whenever Apple looks weak against the brilliant top of the range handsets that include Samsung’s Galaxy S and Note range. Is it journalism to dismiss the iPad beating Galaxy Tab S only to falsely praise the iPad Air as THE best tablet on the market? But it was okay to pursue pointless litigation in the literal spirit of Jobs to remove, unjustifiably, some Samsung products off the shelves (so to speak).

Biased tech-media, you have been exposed... AGAIN!!!

CROWNED DUMB
Do you remember when Samsung released the first Galaxy Gear smartwatch September 4, 2013 (wow, it feels like longer)? Do you remember what Cook said about it? Let me paraphrase... He said something along the lines of this: “Samsung has showed what the smartwatch shouldn’t be... Trust them (Samsung) to make a mess of it...” Harsh words from a CEO of a corporation based around the notion of being at the very cutting edge of technological excellence. iPhone users had extremely high hopes of an Apple smartwatch. Cook’s dismissive comment on the Galaxy Gear was taken as the throwing down of the gauntlet. We were fooled into thinking that Apple was going to show the world just how a smartwatch should be executed. Timing (hee hee) was everything...

Do you remember the classic Simpson’s episode whereby Homer tracked down his long lost brother, the owner of a car design and manufacturing company, who then got Homer to design the "all American car"? Can you remember the result and the reaction when it was revealed? Hahahaha! That was such a funny episode! The episode is called 'Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou?' The Simpsons Season 2 Episode 15.

Above: 'The Homer' car made for fun in real life!

When the AppleWatch was revealed it looked and still looks like a bit of a monstrosity with that awful “Digital Crown”. That’s what Apple is famous for redesign and reinvention (not to mention marketing)! The “candy bar” mobile phone morphed into buttonless touch screen handset that was the first iPhone. Now they have taken the traditional analogue watch and redesigned it with this monstrous “Digital Crown” that serves to be awkward if you are left handed – the “Digital Crown” will be hard to manipulate when worn on the right wrist. Now that’s what I call a dumbwatch! Scattering a bunch of apps on the screen of the AppleWatch looks like a mess! It's the equivalent of throwing poop at the wall; something will stick! Apple haven't figured out how to make a decent UI (user interface) for its ecosysem.

I’ve long since exposed Apple as re-designers as opposed to true technological innovators. Once they have a redesign they feel is ripe then their media machine is unleashed to convince you that you need it above anything else available on the market. Apple’s media machine is frightening as I have exposed just how far it goes! In the UK there is a questionable tech TV program coming back on the air in a few days and some people have dubbed it “The Apple Show”! Hahahaha! It’s true! I’ve seen some really dumb comparisons of the iPhone with leading premium Android handsets and the verdict has been, “Yes, the iPhone wins this challenge because blah, blah, blah...” Yeah, right!

Google and Samsung have the right idea to make their smartwatches screen-centric in that you use the touch screen to interface with it and / or use voice commands. There is a reason why Apple concentrated on the myriad alternative wristbands for its AppleWatch and it’s because it is not the pinnacle of technical excellence as they’d like to have you believe.

I was honestly expecting by Cook’s throwdown that we’d see something that belongs in a recent Sci-Fi movie and the world came to realize that Apple had just literally digitalized – if you can call it that – the analogue watch. Only the ardent and most devoted attendee of the Church of Apple will spend $349 on a dumbwatch. Me? If I were an Apple follower I’d invest that $349 somewhere else... An iPad maybe??? Let me pass that collection plate to the person next to me!

I think that the smartwatch should be viewed as a cursor to compliment the handset and to also compliment YOU! Act on your whims / requests. Here’s a scenario that I am imagining regarding the usefulness of a smartwatch.

“OK, Google... I want to walk to the nearest Whole Food store in Central London; direct me!”

What I want to hear from my smartwatch is this...

“The nearest Whole Food store is in Piccadilly Circus. Would you like directions?”

“Yes.”

“Keep walking to the end of this street... Cross at the traffic lights and then turn left...”

I will keep hearing directions until I reach my destination. And when I am veering off I am told that I am going off course and / or an alternate route would be suggested instead – maybe I want to do some sightseeing along the way! I don’t really want to have my face into the smartwatch all the way there. I can opt to have the directions spoken through a Bluetooth headset if need be!

The other vision I have is that the design is more elongated lengthwise and wider height-wise. In other words I have the equivalent of a Galaxy S5 Mini – for example – on my wrist with a nice curved SuperAMOLED screen complimented with a hypoallergenic wristband not unlike what we have seen in some Sci-Fi movies (check out a movie called 'Lock Out'). I envisage such a smartwatch – “LifeCursor” as I call it as I think “smartwatch” is an already dated expression / term. It’s just because we wear the device on our wrists that we associate it with a watch. Yes, we watch it but we can also listen to it too!

Apple can only make its move once there is a device out there to re-imagine and repackage as its own! Apple can't invent. Now the Galaxy Note Edge is what I call innovation and invention. The design is sublime!

UNDERSTANDING
Sadly, the Apple biased tech media will continue to misdirect the mentally dull and / or vulnerable into the idea that Samsung is being "insensitive" with regards to their recent responses to the iPhone 6 models and AppleWatch with their Twitter and YouTube outbursts. What we are not seeing in the tech media and the media in general is news bulletins on TV, for example, stating that Samsung was right with its design of handsets based around a larger screen. What they say when mentioning the competition is something along these lines, “It’s the news that every iPhone user has been waiting for... ...news of larger screens... Apple looks as like they are trailing behind its competitors...”

They do not mention Samsung by name and how it pioneered the market for handsets with larger screens. They may mention Samsung in the context of an "enemy" but they rarely state the truth: Samsung premium products are the best - plastic or not! They don’t even mention Samsung’s groundbreaking Galaxy Note 4, Note Edge, Gear S and Gear VR in comparison to Apple’s feeble keynote products! They didn’t even bother report news of these fabulous Galaxy Tab S range that features a screen that just burns out the iPad’s! That’s not journalism. Yes, of course, they keep harping on about "plastic" as though they haven't seen iPhone's that look as though they've been in a warzone! That's what I call brainwashing! It's definitely not right!

Oh, please Note (4) (hee hee) that my usual iPhone attackers have fallen silent after 9/9/14! Gee, I wonder why? Hahahaha!

SYNAPSE CIRCUIT APPLE TALK 3 PREMIUM?

Above: Could this be a new design departure for the iPhone 6?
Above: Are these the iPhone 6 and 6L?
SYNAPSE CIRCUIT
APPLE TALK 3
Good evening, Synapse Circuit Readers. What’s happening in your wonderful lives? I hope that all is well with you and yours!

Yes, the saga continues with Apple...

#Apple #Samsung #Google #SteveJobs #TimCook #iPadAir #iPhone6 #iPadMini #iPhone6Phablet #GalaxyNote4 #GalaxyAlpha #iPhone6L #GalaxyTabS

IS THE IDEA OF “PREMIUM” REDUNDANT IN TODAY’S MOBILE DEVICE MARKET?
It should be common knowledge to even the most ardent iPhone fan that Apple needs the iPhone 6 to be a success as their market share is constantly being eroded by Android handsets. Through my articles I get a bit of abuse from the Apple disciples and it makes me chuckle a bit because the problem or problems doesn’t lie with me... Uh-uh... The problems lie with Apple itself.

I read and watch opinions / reports from many tech-news sources and the one thing that keeps coming up when talking of the competition i.e. Samsung. And Samsung has responded with the Galaxy Alpha that has been met with mixed reviews. But I like it because of one factor: the non-metallic removable battery cover.

If the iPhone 6 retains the non-removable battery which proves to have a short life then this could have a great impact on its sales. However, I find it strange that tech-journalists (sic) do not make much of an issue regarding Apple’s stance to keep the battery non-removable. I would imagine that this is to retain the “premium” look. I think this is going to be the last time I bring up the subject of “premium” but I feel that I have to address this issue with this article.

Tech-journalists are a funny bunch... ...one minute they claim that the iPhone is a symbol of supreme design (even though I can’t see how this is true) and that is worthy of the word “premium”. I had a friend who always claimed how the expensive materials make her feel that her money is “well spent”. Yet very often she would tell me that her battery is about to go any minute and have to cut video and voice calls short whilst being out and about! I do not get it; when I tease her that she’d be better off with a Samsung handset because she’d be able to swap out the battery for a fully charged spare she is repulsed by the very idea of leaving the Apple nest. Yes, she is also a Mac computer owner and in some respects I understand why she would want to remain faithful to Apple. However, her reasoning does not explain this idea of “premium”.

Inexplicably many tech-journalists marvel at the glass and metal materials that make up the iPhone but surely a “premium” handset is more than the outer materials??? No??? I find it baffling to have read reviews on the Galaxy S range to the present day where it goes something like this:-

“The Samsung Galaxy S5 has the best screen on any handset but the iPhone 5S is the one to get...” Huh??? Why, I even read an issue of ‘What Buy’ magazine on the subject of ‘Best handsets’ and despite the Galaxy S5 having the best screen, best camera, removable battery and power management, etc the iPhone 5S was weighed up as being the best option. What???? This is supposed to be a consumer oriented magazine that gives an objective evaluation on consumer products. Hmmmm... I think you have to be “special” if you can’t work out and evaluate the specifications between the iPhone 5S and the Galaxy S5.

Similarly, tech-journalists that make claims to say the iPhone 5S is better because of the materials alone are lobotomized or receiving gifts from Apple. Tech-journalists must be braindead if they can’t understand that they are holding a premium device that is the Galaxy S5 or Note 3! Seriously, who wants to watch video or view websites on the tiny iPhone 5S screen? Seriously, are you trying to tell me that the Galaxy S and Note range do not feel premium? You gotta be nuts if you think that a handset that consists of 95% screen that is sharper than the retina and sporting a fast quad-core processor, over 1GB RAM and expandable storage via microSD card!

Above: Is this the Samsung Galaxy Note 4?

As I have said so, so many times... The iPhone and iPad suffers terribly from the metal and glass being unable to absorb the shock of a drop which usually results in scratches, dents and broken glass. What is “premium” about that? I tell you, when I hold my Galaxy S1, 2 & 4 and my Galaxy Note 2 in my hands they do not feel cheap! When I am watching a YouTube video, for example, I do not think to myself, “You know... This video would look so much better if my Galaxy Note 2 if it were made from metal...”

Somebody brought to my attention that 85% of Apple’s sales are devices that cost over $400. And somebody else has responded to my last article on Apple, APPLE TALK 2 WINNING?, by saying that Apple has won the battle against Samsung because its profits are up while at Samsung executives have given their bonuses back because they missed financial targets... OK... Let’s take a real look to see if my understanding meets yours...

Once again, if Apple’s strategy is to sell 150 million iPhones be it the 5S or 5C or combination of then that’s a good thing – obviously! But if Apple wants to sell as many iPhone units as possible then they are trailing behind Android’s over 1 billion sales and counting. Oh, but what I am saying isn’t fair because of the inexpensive Android handsets out there. Surely that’s down to Apple, right? You iPhone fans say you want to pay through the nose for a small handset even though you are delirious at the prospect of a larger screen just because it is made out of metal and glass. So, then you can’t blame that on Android if Apple seeks to serve your needs. You want premium materials and you expect to pay for it. Fine! What’s that got to do with Android handsets being able supply quality inexpensive handsets that are mainly plastic with some great metal handsets from HTC, Huawei and now Samsung! However, I DO NOT want the future Galaxy S and Note to feature metal if it is going to bring the prices up! No, Samsung! No! Ha ha! I would rather pay more for a futuristic design based around the indestructible YOUM screen. Did you see those foldable Samsung designs of the not too distant future?

Imagine a scenario whereby your expensive premium iPhone 5S has stopped working for whatever reason and sadly your warranty has expired before your upgrade is due. Are you going to shell out £569.95 to replace it??? Oh, you will opt for the £449.95 5C? Me? If one of my Galaxy S and Note handsets proved to be too expensive to repair I can either get a second hand one or opt for something like the Motorola Moto G with 4G for around £130 or make do with a low-end LG handset such as the L5 for £99 or something even cheaper while I am waiting to upgrade. Sure, it is likely that if you are under contract you can get the handset repaired for free but this is just to illustrate why Android is so popular and iPhone iOS is not.

Take the beautiful, Sci-Fi looking Aquos Crystal from Sharp as an example that the idea of “premium” is like the proverbial King and his new clothes! Yes, it’s transparent that you are superficial! Ha ha! I am only kidding! You like what you like and you pay for what you like! But if someone offered me an iPhone for free I’d sell it to get the Aquos Crystal maybe an Android tablet with the change!

DID APPLE BEAT SAMSUNG?
I still say a resounding NO!!!! Why? Okay, I will tell you why!

Samsung has done and is doing so much in terms of design and meeting different markets from high-end premium, mid and low-range! What has Apple done? One boring handset! One boring handset that is in desperate need of a redesign! Oh, maybe the iPhone 6 will actually be a design departure! Goody for you, the iPhone fan!

If you are prepared to do more then you have more to lose, no? If you keep playing safe you won’t lose much by the way of finance but a whole lot of adventure and innovation. Who dares wins is good motto!

That’s something to think about!

SYNAPSE CIRCUIT SAMSUNG DELIVERS iPAD KILLER NO DOUBT

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Beautifully designed and crafted; slim bezels on a great tablet!
The pricing for the Galaxy Tab S looks to be very, very reasonable.
I wonder how much it'll cost for both LTE and WiFi.
Finger Print Scanner on the Galaxy Tab S can read up to 8 different users! A first on a tablet!
 SYNAPSE CIRCUIT
NEWS!
SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB S

Good evening, Synapse Circuit Readers. If you are in the market for a tablet this year then check out this great bit of news!

#Samsung #GalaxyTabS #AndroidTablet

PRESENTING THE GALAXY TAB S

New York, Madison Square Garden (12th June 2014)
– The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Galaxy Tab S 8.4 will come with two different chipset varieties. The LTE variants pack a Snapdragon 800 chipset with a 2.3GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU, while the Wi-Fi version offers Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa chipset with a quad 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 and quad 1.9GHz Cortex-A15. All versions come with 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB storage flavors. There's also a microSD card slot on board, allowing for up to 128GB of additional storage.

The display resolution on both is WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels). This results in a pixel density of 288ppi and 359ppi for the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and 8.4, respectively.

At the back, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and 8.4 feature an 8MP camera with a 2.1MP at the front. Thanks to the slimmer Super AMOLED screen, both tablets measure just 6.6mm thick, which gets the 10.5" one close to the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet and its 6.4mm waistline.

The weight of the upcoming slates is impressive, too. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 weighs just 294 grams (298 grams for the LTE version), 44 grams lighter than the LG G Pad 8.3. The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 measures 465 grams (Wi-Fi) and 467 grams (LTE).

In terms of battery size, naturally the 10.5" boasts a larger, 7900mAh Li-Ion battery, while the 8.4" features a 4900mAh unit - still respectable for a mid-sized slate.

Samsung will offer both tablets in bronze and white colors.

SYNAPSE CIRCUIT SAYS…

WOW! AMAZING!
What Samsung has done is to bring the Android tablet to a whole new level of quality that surpasses the iPad. The Galaxy Tab S is going to cause the Apple community to lose it! If you have been following the Apple vs. Samsung Tech War you will know that one of the conditions that came about through the trials is that Samsung has to inform Apple on what they are planning and therefore what we saw at the recent Apple WWDC conference earlier this month is really and truly Apple playing catch up!

This is the tablet that Android fans have been waiting for! All that poor journalism about Samsung leaving Android is just stupid! I think that the Galaxy Tab S is going to fly more than any other Android tablet this year.

Again, the only thing with Android tablets is that the applications are not yet on par with what is available for the iPad – well, at least in terms of music applications! When I get some spare time I compose original music on the PC and I am still looking for the ideal music app so that I can use my time on public transport more productively! But I have been witnessing more and more quality music apps coming to Android.

As you know I have been holding off buying a tablet and the Galaxy Tab S is THE tablet that I want right now! There is so much going for it! It is superb! Supreme on any tablet platform!

Accept calls on the Galaxy Tab S! Gosh!

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S promises visibility in sunlight. This I have to see!

Here Side Sync allows for the Galaxy S5 to be emulated upon the Galaxy Tab S screen!

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S SuperAMOLED screen produces richer, natural images.

Longer battery life! Yes!

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S continues to pioneer split screen viewing.

Marvel's JARVIS from the Iron Man comics and movies makes an appearance.
Expect to see Samsung product placements within the upcoming Avengers sequel!

There will be high quality content available for the Galaxy Tab S. Great!

Some great looking accessories! Check out the Bluetooth keyboard below!

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S allows a maximum of 8 users to have their individual settings!
I think this is a first on a tablet! The Galaxy Tab S promises to be a boon for the family!

SYNAPSE CIRCUIT SAMSUNG vs. APPLE 2014 REVEAL 2

SYNAPSE CIRCUIT
SAMSUNG vs. APPLE 2014:
THE REVEAL
#Samsung #Apple #SamsungvsApple2013 #GalaxyS5 #GS5 #Gear2 #Gear2Neo #GearFit

Good sunny Sunday afternoon, Synapse Circuit Readers! I hope that all is well in your world and I hope that the Sun is out where you are too! Mmmmm... A bit of Sun makes all the difference! I am about to have Sunday dinner with the folks and while I am waiting for my phones to charge I thought I’d bash this one out...

The ongoing and recent round of the battles between Samsung and Apple is revealing what I more or less suspected...

REVELATION 1: SAMSUNG WANTS TO LEAVE ANDROID
Really? I recall when the Galaxy S3 was launched there wasn’t much said – if anything by the way of Android. If I am correct this is when the Apple fired off their offensive against Samsung (to fleece them). I could tell that Samsung’s J.K. Shin wasn’t too happy about the prospect of entertaining an impotent Apple unable to innovate but sue competition. Uh-uh! I felt that Shin was seething underneath the spectacle of the GS3 launch or was it the Galaxy Note 2? Oh, well... I just recall that there was very little mention of Google Android.

Here’s what I am speculating... And remember I am only speculating for the purpose of writing this article. I can’t exactly prove anything...

I am speculating that Samsung felt as though Google weren’t doing enough to back them against the Apple lawsuit. I would also imagine that Samsung were thinking along the lines of: ‘Is working with Google worth the hassle?’ Over 40 million sales of the Galaxy S4 later and 30 million of the Galaxy Note 2 later I reckon Samsung has found the answer to that question: YES!!!!

And yes, I reckon Samsung felt that in the battle to squash the ridiculous notion that they “stole” from Apple that it had to compete in every way possible with the items such as S Voice and S Translator that is not too dissimilar to Google Translate and Google Search / Now. Assuming that Google asked Samsung to tone it down for the Galaxy S5 may have caused a bit of frustration. However, I am of the belief that Samsung can understand that there’s not much point in reinventing the wheel through wanting to match – if not beat – Apple at its own game with Siri, etc.

I would like to think that Samsung can now concentrate on the design of its line of Android based handsets and let the Android operating system breathe a bit more. There again, those who know how to make the most of their premium Galaxy handsets are able to decide for themselves what aspect of Android or Samsung they can use. I think it’s all good! But just one thing: I do think that by Samsung easing back on presenting a heavy TouchWiz interface overlay will do the consumer a world of good in that it prevents confusion and a feeling of being overwhelmed by the Samsung hubs! People either love, like or aren’t too enthusiastic regarding TouchWiz. I personally don’t mind TouchWiz – Nature UI, in my opinion, is the best! I do appreciate the scale back for the Galaxy S5.

Even though Samsung is working on the Tizen operating system I don’t think that they will part from Android anytime soon! Android, as you know, is the most popular mobile operating system in the world and if they take out bits of Chrome so that one can use the Chrome applications then it could be the most popular operating system period! I do hope that Sundar Pichai makes it happen! I reckon that would be the day when I will give the tired Microsoft Windows and the PC! Well, if I could run the Chrome enhanced Android on my PC instead that would be something!

Samsung would face the uphill struggle of publicizing Tizen based devices – not that it would be impossible to sell it! People who love technology would certainly buy into it – if it was radical enough! I mean, look at the recent changes in iOS – it’s Android influenced! I am almost certain that Apple will bring out some Android style widgets for a little customization for iOS8.

I wonder if there would be a possibility of dual Tizen and Android based devices in the not too distant future... Hmmmmm... I wonder...

EXAGGERATING TAB SALES
This exaggerating of Galaxy Tab sales is no big deal! Apple does it all the time. I mean, look at the “record breaking” sales of the iPhone 5S and then the fall in value of its shares. Apple knows all about the tricks of exaggeration as they do it all the time: every press opportunity and launch they exaggerate everything! No one is going to forget Apple Maps in a hurry – especially if you ended up getting lost when using it. But they talked it up so much in the press launch that you thought that Google Maps was in trouble! Uh-uh!

Regarding the Galaxy Tab, Samsung has to get over the huge hype that Apple has made of its iPad. With every version of the Galaxy Tab the wall of the iPad hype gets broken down in the eyes of the consumer. I have always preferred the Galaxy / Android tablet over the iPad for the materials alone; metal and glass is so very overrated. Again, we want durability in our devices. Durability equals longevity and the iPad (especially the Air) is stunning to look at but you’re afraid to take it outside in case you drop it and it sort of remains a rich person’s toy.

Samsung tablets and Android tablets in general are now seeping into the mainstream in a big way! The consumer is starting to realize that the “i” in iPhone, Pod and Pad stands for iTunes and that’s where Apple wants to keep the consumer hence no external memory options! Just ask the parents who have been faced with massive credit card bills from child’s play! This is to say that children accidently building up huge bills through Google Play Store can’t happen but it’s far more frequent with the App Store. There are more controls to accommodate children built into Android tablets. Not to mention the various Android tablets aimed at children! The cost conscious parent can save their hard earned money! That said, many children ask their parents for the iPad because of the esteem that Apple has managed to imbue into the product.

WORK
Yes, it’s an understatement to say that Samsung has its work cut out to maintain their lead at the top but their Pro Galaxy Tab tablets speak volumes. It’s got to a point whereby Apple, at this moment in time, isn’t able to compete with Samsung. Samsung’s competition is going to be the hungry Chinese manufacturers looking to break into the marketplace. If I am correct there are a couple of handsets that already boast a QHD screen that come from China: Vivo and Oppo! I am sure that Samsung will follow suit with the rumoured Galaxy F range of new devices.

But for now Apple is not in the race! Samsung remains the overall winner no matter what the court decides.

Hey, don't take my word for it... Here:

SYNAPSE CIRCUIT SAMSUNG 2014 HYPE!

SYNAPSE CIRCUIT
SAMSUNG 2014 HYPE!
#Samsung #GalaxyS5 #GS5 #SamsungvsApple #GalaxyS5Prime #Unpacked2 #Gear #Apple

Good late evening, Synapse Circuit Readers! I hope that you had a wonderful day! And if your day is unravelling where you are there is still time!

Yes, reviews are coming this week! I just have to catch up on the latest Tech-News! Please be patient! I have some great products lined for you!

The official UK launch of the Galaxy S5 is a couple of days away and I hope to cover the event in East London! But in the meantime...

APPLE vs. SAMSUNG
The latest Tech-War battle has revealed a lot about Apple that has confirmed the speculative Synapse Circuit articles concerning the inadequacy of Apple products. Jobs, Cook and Schiller fears Android and Samsung (and I bet LG, Asus, Lenovo / Motorola and many Android manufacturers) and that the lawsuits are attempts to put a spanner in the works of Samsung especially as they are doing wonders in the smartphone and tablet market! No matter what Apple does in or out of court they give Samsung so much publicity inadvertently that it could render the lawsuits a total waste of time! I do think that Samsung is will claim more of a percentage of handsets this year over the iPhone. We’ll see...

APPLE WWDC 2014
You may be aware that Apple is going to have its developer conference in 2 – 6 June. So, my guess is that Samsung will launch the devices based on the S5 (such as S5 Zoom, S5 Active and perhaps this elusive “Prime” model that people are still talking about) not too far from the Apple WWDC!

Predicting the WWDC I can see an update to the iOS7, OS X, a smartwatch (iWatch), Apple TV and most likely the iPhone 6 that will sport a 4.7” screen and 4” screen for those who are happy with the screen as it is.

And there will probably be the second generation iPhone C – 5C.

Also form Samsung it is possible that they could use the opportunity to launch the Galaxy F which may or may not be the “Prime” model.

S5 IS ALIVE!
Ooooh, yes! As has proven to be the case with Samsung’s designs from the S3 up – it’s only when you have the handset in your hands do you appreciate the beauty of it! I had one in my hand yesterday evening and I WANT ONE!!!! I can hardly wait to attend the official UK event in Stratford East London.

I hope to bring you footage of the London event!

GRAPHENE
Samsung is said to have made great progress in producing a material called “Graphene” that is used to make flexible screens. If it were up to Samsung they would have had a handset with a flexible screen out on the market already! Maybe, just maybe The “F” in this rumoured Galaxy F could stand for “Flexible”.

GEAR WATCHPHONE
Samsung is also said to be launching a Gear model that works as a standalone phone that uses a SIM card. I can envisage the use of a flexible screen in that model too!

IN CLOSING
Samsung has to keep up with its innovation and therefore we will be seeing a lot more from them this year! The S5 hasn’t quite reached the UK yet but there is the Galaxy Ace Style budget handset that’s on its way and the second generation Galaxy Camera is already on the market and it looks so much better than last year’s effort!

What do you reckon?

I am hoping that I can bring you reviews as soon as possible! Stay tuned!

Take good care!

SYNAPSE CIRCUIT THE LATEST APPLE vs SAMSUNG

SYNAPSE CIRCUIT
THE LATEST APPLE vs SAMSUNG PROVES SYNAPSE CIRCUIT RIGHT

#Apple #Samsung #ApplevsSamsung #iPhone6 #iPhone6Rumours

Good afternoon, Synapse Circuit Readers! How are you? Apologies for the lack of articles and reviews for the last couple of weeks... I’ve been going through some issues. I recommend that you ought to see your GP for a blood pressure assessment. Blood pressure is a silent killer! DO NOT take your health for granted!

Now what have I missed in the delightful world of tech? Ah, yes! Apple vs. Samsung yet again! Thank goodness for the smartphone as it has allowed me to follow both sides of the equation.

VERY REVEALING vs. VERY OBVIOUS

It’s no surprise to learn that Samsung – like any tech rival – would want to create competing products to rival if not usurp the competition. As you know, when the iPhone was launched it was done with great pomp that only the late Steve Jobs could deliver. Please put your pants back on – I want bore them off you! Lol!

The iPhone was presented as the greatest thing to have happened in the evolution of mobile phones. Some people fell for it and some didn’t. If you have read my articles on the iPhone and the exclusion of Adobe Flash, the shortcomings of the iOS etc then you will know that the iPhone was mainly smokescreens and mirrors. What did Apple think would happen where the mobile marketplace is concerned? Did Jobs and co think that the marketplace was theirs for the taking and that there will be no competition?? That’s apparently what he thought! Imagine if there was only ONE television manufacturer in the whole world. That’s right: it’s impossible.

IT’S SAMSUNG!
That’s right, Apple are going after Samsung and not Google indirectly. Forget this nonsense over “copying” because what is really at the heart of the constant lawsuits is the fact that Apple has underestimated the mobile devices marketplace. Yes, it’s that simple. Apple has always promoted itself as cutting edge but how can it be cutting edge when it doesn’t have a device that can compete with the Galaxy Note (3), it hasn’t get a cost effective tablet for all the family and even the (in)famous retina screen has been surpassed by first the larger Android screen and subsequently by larger HD screens and design?!

So, the idea that Apple is indirectly attacking Google is incorrect. They are attacking Samsung simply because Samsung’s products are better. Sure, the iOS devices have an advantage of quality apps from day one but after playing around with my nephews iPhone 5S I can see that quality apps is becoming less of an issue on Android.

LEGACY
The legacy of Jobs is to launch a “thermonuclear” and “holy” war on Android and Samsung as recent emails have further revealed in more detail. It’s nothing that Synapse Circuit didn’t know already. Instead of producing competitive products, Apple have decided to make its revenue from lawsuits that use nationalism, the US Presidency and outright inadequacy disguised as “patent infringement” to win sympathy and ultimately the suit. Sadly for Apple fanatics, the constant lawsuits show that Apple is unable to compete with great products. What a shame. This latest lawsuit has revealed that fact: Apple cannot compete with the likes of Samsung, LG, HTC, etc.

BAD ADVERTS
It has been revealed that Apple’s Phil Schiller has been unhappy with what I assume to be the iPhone adverts. The iPad adverts look a lot better because the product is of a higher standard. Oh, there were some “Genius” adverts that bombed too!

When I look at the iPhone ads I just cringe with embarrassment. The iPhone ads have more to do with propaganda and nationalism. I think that an ad should tell you about the product to make you want it. Apple ads are a stark contrast to Samsung ads! I think the Galaxy S3 ads were the best that I have ever seen at that time and since! The S3 ads sold me on the camera, the hand gestures, design, etc. And of course, those wonderful Anti-Apple Fanboy / girl adverts that delightfully takes the Mickey out of the adoring queuing iPhone fans, “The next big thing is already here!”

It comes as no surprise as to why Apple’s Phil Schiller is unhappy with the adverts.

Check this ad: Would you give it thumbs up?

HERE’S ANOTHER REASON WHY YOU (AS AN iPHONE FAN) SHOULDN’T GET YOUR HOPES UP FOR A 5” iPHONE
Apart from the (in)famous “Thumb” video proclaiming the “Common Sense of Hand Science” (above) the other reason for Apple to keep the iPhone screen size under 5” is because anything looking like a phablet will eat into the iPad mini and iPad market. At lot of iPad users would simply use the iPhablet than to spend money on a tablet that will be outdated in a year’s time.

The iPad has eaten into the sales of the Mac computers, the iPad mini has eaten into the sales of the iPad and an iPhablet would certainly eat into both the iPad mini and iPad market.

We’ll see! And if by some great effort from Apple that they produce an iPhone over 4.7” would that give Samsung a cause for a lawsuit? Probably!

What do you reckon?

Standby for some reviews...

Take good care!

SYNAPSE CIRCUIT 5 REASONS TO BUY THE GALAXY S5

SYNAPSE CIRCUIT
5 REASONS TO BUY THE GALAXY S5
#Samsung #GalaxyS5 #GS5 #MWC2014 #GalaxyS5Prime #Unpacked #Gear

Good evening, Synapse Circuit Readers! How are you tonight? I hope that all is well and that you had an outstanding day!

Now that you know that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is out next month here’s my top 5 reasons to get it!

NUMBER ONE: PHOTOGRAPHY
If you love photography then the 13MP camera shouldn’t disappoint. You have pretty much the same feature mode-set as found on the Galaxy S4 but the new fast focus and the extra 3MP to make a total of 16MP will make a difference to the quality to the photographs which are usually stunning!

You can also take 4K video too! Wonderful!

NUMBER TWO: BATTERY
Ok, it is true that you can get other handsets with a larger battery capacity but the trade off with a Samsung handset is the marvellous feature set that you get with it that other handsets may lack. One of Samsung’s greatest strengths in its premium handset range is the removable battery! I LOVE that I can just replace the battery should I need to! The batter is an improvement over the GS4’s battery, 2800 mAh.

NUMBER THREE: THE SCREEN
The following is an argument that I put to my onetime iPhone friend, “Isn’t better to go see a good movie in the cinema than to watch it on TV?” Exactly!

This is why the iPhone is losing ground – it just cannot compete with the larger screens that are making more sense by the second with the focus on media: video, social networking, photos and the Internet. You want the largest screen possible within your comfort zone.

NUMBER FOUR: IT’S WATER & DUST RESISTANT
It’s so wonderful that the GS5 is water and dust resistant! You’d be able to take photos & video in the rain!

NUMBER FIVE: THE DOWNLOAD BOOSTER
This combines the LTE and WiFi connection to make downloading speeds even faster! It makes so much sense as one can easily send and receive video, pictures, etc using these wonderful free voice and messaging apps!

NUMBER SIX: IT’S NOT AN iPHONE
Hahaha! Goes without saying! But seriously...

If you think that that Apple will relent and give the iPhone 6 a larger screen then think again! Watch...

SYNAPSE CIRCUIT GALAXY S5 PRIME SUSPECT

The Galaxy S5 looming in the background. It looks fatter - not that I'm complaining!
At least the camera and flash looks consistent...

GALAXY S5 PRIME SUSPECT
#Samsung #GalaxyS5 #GS5 #MWC2014 #GalaxyS5Prime

Good evening, Synapse Circuit Readers! As always, I am hoping that all is well in your world!

Not long to go now before we learn of the Galaxy S5!

OUTED!
Uh-oh! I guess that picture of the “leaked” forthcoming Galaxy S5 could be a reality! I was so hoping for a more radical design and judging by the photo above we can see what the Galaxy S5 looks like from the back!

So, don’t get too excited regarding an outlandish design! Hahahaha! You can see the much talked about gold coloured GS5 too!

By the looks of it there will be a Prime variant too! But it is not clear if the Prime version will be available at the same time or released to coincide with the forthcoming iPhone 6.

Apparently, the 2k screen is a reality!

We’ll soon find out, won’t we!

What do you reckon?

Review coming very soon.... Stay tuned (pun unintended but works so well)...

CAN APPLE SINK ANY LOWER?

SYNAPSE CIRCUIT
CAN APPLE SINK ANY LOWER?
#Apple #ApplevsSamsung #Samsung #SamsungvsApple

Good evening, Synapse Circuit Readers! What a rainy day in London... The heavens opened up and poured! But despite the rain I had a good day of rest and reading... I guess you must have heard that the President of the United States vetoed a ban on Apple products: iPhone 4 and 3G iPad 2 for infringing upon Samsung patents.

APPLE CAN DISH IT BUT THEY CAN’T TAKE IT
As you know, Apple are quick to launch patent lawsuits against the competition, namely Samsung, and does its absolute best to take competing products of the market. What many people do not realize is that Apple has been losing a few patent and copyright battles themselves. Most consumers don’t care about such details simply because, at the moment, such patent battles have not encroached upon their consumption. This makes me wonder as to how consumers were affected when Samsung tablets were taken off the market in various countries.

Here in the UK we were very fortunate in that Samsung products were never taken off the market; a British patent court ruled in favour of Samsung to say that their tablet did not infringe upon the iPad. Furthermore, Apple was ordered to retract that Samsung had infringed upon the iPad design by placing a notice on the UK Apple site to that effect. Apple couldn't hack it. And quite rightly too from the point of a megalomaniac company that creates its own propaganda machine. Apple’s penchant for denial is truly bizarre and a little frightening... ...it’s as though they can't accept that formidable competition exists. “Music music is being listened to on the iPhone...” And just for good measure... “More photos are taken on the iPhone...” Believe what you will.

RULES THAT ARE UNSPOKEN
Don't throw stones in glass houses. I don't understand how Apple can instigate patent lawsuits while they have also infringed upon the patents of others. It is certainly an odd thing to do. I guess this is the nature of tech. When, as a bully, your victims form a posse to put you in your place you have to accept it. What you don’t do is get your Mom, Pop or teacher to save you from deserved thrashing. And that’s exactly what Apple has done by getting the US President to veto the pan on iPhone 4 and iPad 2 for their infringement on Samsung’s patents. A Presidential veto is no victory for Apple. No! It’s a case of Apple not being able to take its own medicine and therefore they look simply pathetic. This is why I can’t buy into Apple. My Adorable Friend is nearly always trying to get me to buy into the Apple hype, iPhone, iPad and Mac computers and she can never give me good reason to do so. There’s no chance of it now. President Obama can step in to save a company but cannot do anything to save unarmed black children / men from being killed unlawfully by the racist “Stand your ground” law. Would that law work for a black man against a white man?

What does that veto mean for Samsung? Could they be compensated for a direct violation against Apple’s infringement against its patents? One thing is for sure, Apple does not fight fair.

What do you reckon?

Take good care!
