All of which translates into one heck of a phone and I think it will be hard to beat... Looking at it objectively... What other model can the S4 be compared to? The HTC One? Well, the HTC One is one fine looking handset and in looks HTC has definitely brought something new to the table of handset design. I think the HTC One looks very unique while the S4 resembles the Galaxy Note II! I am ever so slightly disappointed with the design; this is the initial response. I have a feeling that, like the S3, I am going to appreciate the design when it is in my hands!

The HTC One camera vs. S4 camera... HTC has this “ultrapixels” gimmick that is said to deliver a better picture using a 4MP sensor... Can this be right? Hmmm... The Galaxy S4 at last features a 13MP camera and if it is anything like the S3 and Note II it is going to be brilliant! I will reserve judgement until I can compare pictures side by side! The HTC One has a fixed battery whereas the S4 2,600 mAh battery is removable.

I think the better match for the Galaxy S4 is the Sony Xperia Z which also features a 13MP camera. Again, I need to compare the two side by side!

As with the S3 it was functionality and design that made it outstanding above the competition, the S4 has taken functionality to a superlative level! More about the S4 coming in the next blog...
