LG L SERIES III
#LG #MWC2014 #AndroidHandsets #BudgetSmartPhones
Good evening, Synapse Circuit Readers! How are you? What’s been happening? Have
you ventured into rooting your handsets? Great! If you haven’t I reckon you
should definitely have a go; when you’re due for an upgrade hang on to the old
handset and root! Once rooted you can explore the wonderful world of custom
ROMs! Trust me, you are gonna love it!
I have rooted my not so old but old enough to be scrapped LG L3 and it is quite
functional. I’ve had to use a work-a-round, Link2SD, to sort out the distinct
lack of storage space! I don’t know why manufacturers make these kinds of
phones... If you want to make calls only then great. But if you want to say
that you’ve got yourself a bargain smartphone, jog on! Here’s potentially good
news...
...LG HAS REVEALED THE L SERIES III SET OF BUDGET HANDSETS AHEAD OF THE MWC14
Gosh! It seems that all the players are letting slip what’s to come and
LG couldn’t help but reveal what they have in store for their budget market!
Topping this range the L90 rocks a 4.7-inch display with a 960x540-pixel
resolution, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, an 8MP rear-mounted camera, a 1.3MP
front-facing camera, and a removable 2,540mAh battery. It’s packing a 1.2GHz
quad-core processor! Not bad at all! It sort steps into the Moto G territory
and I expect it’ll be similarly priced.
Next up is the L70 which features a 4.5-inch 800x400-pixel display, a 5MP or
8MP camera (market depending), 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and a
removable 2,100mAh battery and 1.2GHz dual-core CPU! Hmmmm... This could be a
good thing; the 4GB storage is pretty good.
At the bottom end is the L40 that comes with a 3.5-inch 480x320-pixel display,
a 3MP camera, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and a removable 1,540 or
1,700mAh battery (also depending on the market). I assume it’ll have a 1GHz
single core and to be honest I think this model is a waste of time!
CONVINCED?
I am not entirely convinced! I think it would have been so much better if the
L40 was the L70, y’know? But all models will be featuring KitKat, as by the
looks of it this version of Android is smaller! Good!
I suppose that the L90 and L70 will be attractive to those that don’t want the
power and the costs of premium handsets! However, the L70 will probably be
quite slow and not able to hold many of the useful apps i.e. Facebook, LINE,
WhatsApp, etc.
STYLISH
I have to say that the L series III look quite stylish! I guess the L40 could
make a good present for a child perhaps!
What do you reckon?
Take good care!
Thank you for watching and reading!
