HTC IS AT ONE WITH ITSELF

HTC IS AT ONE WITH ITSELF

Good evening, Synapse Circuit Readers... As you can see I have put up the new review format! I will write about that in a separate blog later on...

Yes, today HTC has launched their attack on the Android market with the ‘One’. I am glad to see that they have not called it the strange “M7”! The One has definitely thrown down the gauntlet to the main contenders being iPhone, BlackBerry and, of course, Sammy! Certainly, the One has the weight to thwart Sony’s attempt cut a piece of that Android pie!

Let’s see what the One is made of...

HTC ONE

KEY FEATURES:

·         Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
·         1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600
·         4.7-inch LCD, 1,920x1,080 pixels, 468ppi
·         2 GB RAM
·         Internal storage 32 GB, 64 GB
·         No memory expansion slot
·         4G LTE
·         Battery 2,300mAh non-removable
·         Camera: 4 megapixels (ultrapixels)
·         Bluetooth version 4.0
·         NFC
·         Dimensions (inches) 5.4 x 2.7 x 0.37 (thickest) and 0.12 (thinnest)
·         Weight (ounces) 5

The unibody aluminium case looks every bit as classy – if not classier than the iPhone! As you can see, the One is packing a great feature set that will be formidable but the camera has 4MP!!!! Are you sure, HTC???? HTC are calling their new technology, “Ultrapixels” and promises to deliver outstanding photo and video quality! I have to see it to believe it as HTC has been a letdown where the camera is concerned

But why have they gone the way of the iPhone with the non-removable battery and no memory expansion slot? I think that’s taking a big chance, Android folk hate to be restricted! Yet 32 GB as a minimum is brilliant – hefty!

WHAT DO I THINK?
I think the One will ruffle certainly ruffle BlackBerry’s feathers; sink the iPhone 5 further down in the sea of Android but it will remain to be seen if the One can actually be the one to topple Samsung off the number one (hee hee) spot...

Rumour has it that the much anticipated Galaxy SIV will be launched next month! So, we’ll see...

Bring it on!

Thank you for reading!
